The request from the chemical manufacturer was to transport caustic soda through long-distance, high-head piping (with a total head of 85m) and inject it into the main pipeline. However, there were challenges such as "Since it is a hazardous liquid, pumps that pose a risk of liquid leakage cannot be used" and "Air chambers cannot be used at high heads (as air would dissolve into the transported liquid), so pulsating pumps cannot be used."
